Color, rainbows, palaka, multiple types of lei, all things wonderful to capture the joy that comes with giving or receiving a lei. The sides are painted  with a pretty colorful surprise. This body of work beautifully captures the current beautiful chaos of life right now. Grief, motherhood, the unexpected changes that come of nowhere when you enter your 40s (who can relate to this one 😅), running a business, the world in general, a million little things and the absolute joy that is found in the day to day life through it all. I had no plans for the studio this year, but once I sat down and started this collection it just flowed out of me, like it was meant to be, and I ended up with over 30 paintings. They’re full of color, movement and texture. I love that part of being an artist, it’s like my heart and hands know what’s there before I even know it. I hope these pieces connect with a part of you too ❤️
